WHY?

In order to be able to survive and to respond to the needs of its parishioners and to those of its mission, all the activities of Notre Dame de France depend on the generosity of our benefactors.

Our parish does not receive any financial support from the state or the Catholic Diocese of Westminster.

It is not a parish as such but an ethnic chaplaincy.

Its annual budget is £200.000 which covers running costs which do not take into account major refurbishment work which have taken place recently in 2003 and 2004 and then in 2006 for Maison Pierre Chanel, 16 Leicester Square.

The activities of our mission range from:

  • preparation to the sacraments
  • catechesis and chaplaincy at Notre Dame de France
  • catechesis and chaplaincy at the French primary schools and Lycee
  • support given to prayer groups
  • outreach activities such as services to refugees, homeless, older or housebound people
  • participaton in the pastoral activities of the Westend with other local churches or organisations
