To be able to survive, to function as a parish responding to the needs of its parishioners and to those of its mission, Notre Dame de France needs very generous donations from its own parishioners as well as from all those who wish it well. To help them in this charitable purpose, this is the Why? and the How? WHY ? Our parish does not receive any financial support from the state or the Catholic Diocese of Westminster. It is not a parish as such but an ethnic chaplaincy. All our activities depend on the generosity of our benefactors. Its annual budget is £ 200.000 which covers running costs which do not take into account major refurbishment work which have taken place recently in 2003 and 2004 and then in 2006 for Maison Pierre Chanel, 16 Leicester Square.
The activities of our mission range from :
This year 2008 work was carried out in May and June to refurbish the groundfloor of Maison Pierre Chanel which was left out of the previous series of work and also to put the theatre below the church in order so that a new tenant can start working in the premises. For details and photos of past work please go to the French side of the site HOW ?
